Thats one big Bunny!

Thats one big Bunny! These grannies in Italy knitted this massive Bunny on the mountainside for people to come by and climb and then relax on top of the soft belly. The Bunny is 200 feet long and 20 feet tall. They say its very soft yet also waterproof, I wish I had one of these in the back yard. Its so big that you can see it on google earth! Thats awesome. It kind of made me think of that verse that talks about leaving a monument for your children to see…

Joshua 4:4 So Joshua called together the twelve men he had appointed from the Israelites, one from each tribe, 5 and said to them, “Go over before the ark of the LORD your God into the middle of the Jordan. Each of you is to take up a stone on his shoulder, according to the number of the tribes of the Israelites, 6 to serve as a sign among you. In the future, when your children ask you, ‘What do these stones mean?’ 7 tell them that the flow of the Jordan was cut off before the ark of the covenant of the LORD. When it crossed the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off. These stones are to be a memorial to the people of Israel forever.”

This is a cool story. To make sure that the next generation was reminded about the incredible things God did in their lives, they made these monuments. I suppose we can still do these things today. We dont have to build a monument from stones (or a massive pink bunny for that matter) but we can do things in our lives that will open the opprotunity for people to ask….why do you do that? Especially for college students, we can choose to not go to the bars, clubs and drinking parties. We can all choose to attend bible studies and church. We can avoid seeing rated R movies. We could avoid eating unhealthy. So when we tell a someone…No you can’t go see that movie, or… your just drinking water today or …you can’t go to that party and they ask… why?  You can share Christ with them and show them how what he did and is doing, affects how you live your life.
